Mike Nichols and the Nichols Motorsports team had a great weekend, as the NMS Fastlane car wash, Butlerbuilt, VRP shocks, Schaeffer racing oil, Hwy 20 repair, Cliffords cycle PMP chassis made their first ever start at Husets speedway in Brandon, SD. The micro-sprints were the undercard for the World of Outlaw sprint cars, and Mike used the big-stage to show an impressive run to some of his Outlaw buddies. Donny Schatz, Paul Mcmahan and "uncle" Scuba-Steve Swenson have become good friends of Mike, and their presence was a great help for Mike, as they stopped by often during the night to offer up advice and driving tips to our young driver. Mike's night started out a bit tough, as he drew a very high number and started 11th in his 12 car heat race. Knowing a top 5 finish would give him a shot of starting up front in the feature, Mike didnt dissapoint as he nailed the start of the 6 lap heat race, getting by 2 cars on the opening lap.
