After numerous attempts at getting the season started, NMS finally took the green flag for the season this past Sunday night at Nobles County Speedway in Worthington, MN. Mamma Nichols officially started off the season at the sign in shack by drawing Mike the #5 for the night. This number determined where we would line up for our heat race and it put us on the outside front row of heat #1. Mike lost the drag race into the first turn and settled into second position. Fighting a car that was way too loose on entry, Mike eventually surrendered the second spot to the 97b of Kris Breen. With the feature lineup determined by heat race finishing postions, Mike would line up 7th for the start of the 15 lap, 20 car A-main. "Our car was way too free on entry in the heat race and I couldnt hold it down. This allowed the 97b to get by me.
